Our “world owl day” candle transports you deep into the far northern territory of the arctic circle, where it is breeding season for the snowy owl. As the regal snowy owl leaves its perch high up in the snow-filled mountain tops, he spreads his spectacular wings almost 5 feet wide, gliding down over the lake.  His taloned feet barely skim the surface as his keen eyes scan for fish just below the waterline. It is now the ‘golden hour’ and this snowy owl does not fit the mold of the common expression “night owl.” He is hunting during summertime, and the days here are very long, filled with complete sunlight for close to 24 hours.
